Why an English edition?
Our primary audience is Vietnamese practitioners — there is no reliable Vietnamese-language scholarly reference for Vajrayāna Buddhism, and that gap is our mission. An English edition is scheduled for Year 2, with three target readers:
- Overseas Vietnamese practitioners whose Vietnamese reading is weaker than English.
- International researchers who want to cite or understand how Tibetan Buddhism is being transmitted into Vietnamese-speaking communities.
- Partner monasteries (Nepal, Bhutan, India) who want to verify we are teaching their tradition accurately before collaborating on puja sponsorship or translations.
What is already available here?
The English scaffold is live but content is being translated carefully — each article passes through the same 3-layer review (translator → editor → council) as its Vietnamese source. We will not publish machine-translated content.

How we plan to translate
We prefer native Vietnamese speakers who also hold:
- Advanced English writing ability (published or equivalent)
- Vajrayāna practice experience — to render technical terms faithfully
- Willingness to go through editorial rounds (no hasty output)
Compensation is either pāramitā (recognition only) or fair-wage per-word (contact editorial for rates). Translated articles retain the original author's name and add the translator to the byline — identical to Vietnamese.
Respecting the originals
The translation policy is deliberately conservative:
- Keep Sanskrit / Tibetan in IAST / Wylie — don't Anglicize.
- Use established Buddhist Studies terminology (Luis Gómez, Jonathan Silk, et al.) not improvised renderings.
- When a Vietnamese term has no exact English equivalent, keep the Vietnamese in italics + footnote.
- Preserve the three-layer attribution on every article.
