Charter

This is the official translation of our Vietnamese charter. The Vietnamese version is authoritative where translations differ.

Mission

Kim Cương Thừa exists to build an authentic digital maṇḍala — a place where the Dharma of Vajrayāna Buddhism is translated, systematized, and transmitted to Vietnamese-speaking practitioners with three non-negotiable commitments: doctrinal integrity, protection of samaya, and service to the practitioner (not the algorithm).

Five Foundational Principles

1. The Three-Ring Maṇḍala

Content is organized in three concentric rings. The outer ring is publicly accessible knowledge. The middle ring is for practitioners with foundational training. The inner ring requires verified empowerment. This is not a commercial paywall — it is a samaya safeguard.

2. Rime — Non-Sectarianism

The whole system is designed to be neutral across the four main Tibetan lineages (Nyingma, Kagyu, Sakya, Gelug) and Bön. No algorithm may elevate one lineage over another unless the user explicitly chooses a path.

3. Digital Right Livelihood

Every revenue stream must trace back to a concrete Dharma value delivered. No commercialization of what is properly an offering. Absolute transparency via quarterly reports. No third-party advertising. No user-data sales. No remarketing of secular products.

4. Practitioner Sovereignty

Practice data, spiritual journals, and training records belong to the user absolutely. The right to export, delete, or migrate to another platform at any time is guaranteed. Diary entries are client-side encrypted — the server cannot read them.

5. Slow Tech, Deep Dharma

Technology serves attentional settling, not distraction. Minimalist UI, no infinite scroll, no notification spam, no dark patterns. Motion effects respect prefers-reduced-motion.

Operational commitments

  1. Three-layer review for every doctrinal article: translator → editor → council reviewer.
  2. Public attribution for the people involved in each article.
  3. Quarterly financial reports with detailed income/expense breakdowns + narrative.
  4. Version history for every article — we do not silently edit sacred content.
  5. Community correction channel for doctrinal-error reports, acknowledged within 14 days.

Things we will never do

  • Publish empowerment-required content before a working Samaya Gate.
  • Train or deploy AI that generates doctrinal content. The AI Librarian is retrieval-only, grounded in vetted text.
  • Idolize living teachers; we cite lineage, not personality cults.
  • Accept sponsorship from any organization with a documented history of spiritual abuse.
  • Sell merchandise bearing any deity or living teacher's likeness.
  • Allow "higher / lower" comparisons between lineages in community spaces.

When violations occur

If the project violates any of these principles — by accident or under external pressure — the Council of Advisors has the authority to demand that the violation stop. If the founder refuses, the Council may make a public statement and withdraw their names from the project.

Founder's pledge

I, Nguyễn Hoàng, founder of kimcuongthua.vn, pledge on my honor that every project decision will be tested against three questions:

First — does this serve the transformation of the practitioner's mind, or merely raise engagement?
Second — does this respect the sacredness of the Dharma, or trivialize it?
Third — is this sustainable under Right Livelihood, not just financially sustainable?

When all three answers are honestly "yes" — the action is permitted. When any answer is "no" or "uncertain" — it must be revisited.

May this charter be preserved like a butter lamp in the digital maṇḍala, illuminating every decision and protecting the community of practitioners.
